About the Location: Cómpeta -Malaga , Spain
Right in the center of the Costa del Sol in the heart of the Axarquia region of Málaga. The Axarquia Region is situated in the easternmost part of the province of Malaga.
In its towns and villages visitors will find large open natural spaces like the sierra, mountains, hillsides, steep cliffs and extensive beaches, where to enjoy the Mediterranean native cuisine and a magnificent cultural and artistic heritage.
There are beautiful beaches to enjoy the Mediterranean Sea and the sun that bathes the coastline naturally.
Other beauty spots invite us to enjoy the natural scenery, including: the Watch towers of Muslim origin, that gave the town of Torre del Mar its name; the Phoenician ruins by the rock called El Toro; the fortress and town of Vélez Málaga; the sea promenade of Torre del Mar; the Baviera Golf course and Añoreta Golf among others; the Caleta de Vélez marina harbor at the far east side of the promenade at Torre del mar.
Types of activities offered:
3 days and 2 nights from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon, including accommodation, full board and;a range of activities.
The retreat includes accommodation, vegetarian/vegan cookery classes, talks on vegan/vegetarian nutrition and alternative therapies like massage, osteopathy and Reiki (including optional workshops on sports´ massage and urban gardens). Talks on vegan history, philosophy and lifestyle, as well as tertulias or social get-togethers with participants on vegan ethics and survival in the XXI century, with films followed by lively debates.
Types of Food:
Cooking classes are the main Go Vegan activities on the programme and the following dishes are just a sampling of the menus we will enjoy every day:
• Breakfast: Drinks (Almond, oats, soy, coffee, herbal infusion, whole what bread,tomato, vegan cheese, Muesli, organic seasonal fruits
• Lunch: vegetable pates, soups, Moorish seitan, stuffed vegetables, pasta, desert
• Dinner: soup, steamed vegetables, desert
Note: Menus will change according to availability of fresh seasonal produce and will be displayed daily during your stay.
Nearby and along the coast;it is possible to carry out and enjoy many activities such as bike riding, walking, sailing, playing golf or even cart racing. The close proximity to the Mediterranean sea and long sun shine hours help to give the climate of our region a distinctly Mediterranean character, unique in Europe.

Amenities and Accommodation:
Our Andalusian style houses located in Competa, the Axarquia region in the centre of the Costa del;Sol, are fully equipped with everything you need;to make you feel at home. The rooms with single and double beds are well conditioned for use all year round. The houses are located on a 20,000 square meter plot with large beautiful gardens and recreational areas that invite visitors to enjoy the panoramic views as well as walks and social get togethers in direct contact with nature. Garden area with saltwater pool.
There is a large kitchen to prepare the meals and a large living room or lounge area for common activities.
We will arrange to pick you up in Malaga. We will make one trip in the morning and one trip in the afternoon.
About the Teacher(s) or Hosts:
José Antonio is a health adviser and has a Bachelor of Science from the;Life Science Institute in Austin Texas and is a licensed;Natural Hygienist. He has over 20 years of experience in nutrition and can also provide massages to activate the chakras.
Ana is the vegetarian and vegan chef and the cooking instructor. She has many years of experience teaching cooking classes and has been in charge of the cooking for the XIII International Vegan Festival that is celebrated in Málaga.
